International Applicants

Requirements For Admission

All applications are evaluated based on the same admission standards, which means the academic requirements of international students seeking first year, transfer or graduate admission to Florida Tech are the same as those of domestic (U.S.) students, except international first year and transfer students are not required to provide SAT or ACT results. International applicants are test optional when applying for admission. Florida Tech's primary goal is to admit applicants who demonstrate a high likelihood to succeed in one of the university's rigorous degree programs.

Additional International Considerations

Please familiarize yourself with the following, which will help you to understand all the steps required to become a Florida Tech Panther:

  • English Language Proficiency - If English is not your home language, you must provide evidence of proficiency before you may enroll in academic coursework at Florida Tech.
  • Obtaining Your I-20 - If you are admitted and choose to enroll at Florida Tech, you will need to obtain nonimmigrant student status from the federal government in order to travel to and study in the U.S. This starts with the I-20.
  • Preparing for Your Journey - Our office of International Student and Scholar Services has prepared a helpful guide containing all the predeparture information that you, as an overseas students, should be thinking about.
